Petra Lock, born on April 23, 1964, lives and works in two unique
locations: Munich, Germany, and Troviscais in Alentejo, Portugal.
These “in-between worlds” offer her the perfect balance of urban
inspiration and rural tranquility, which resonate in her artistic work.
As a long-time entrepreneur, she has worked in various fields and
founded several companies – always with a strong connection to art
and design. Her creative journey is defined by a love for forms,
colors, and moods.

In recent years, Petra and her family acquired a property in Portugal,
where they built four stylish holiday apartments. Here, in the midst of
the breathtaking landscape, she also established her own studio. The
calm, light, and special energy of Alentejo have created a unique
atmosphere for this creative space. In this studio, Petra develops her
artistic vision – the perfect place to experiment with clay and color,
capturing the essence of people and emotions.

Petra primarily works with clay and painting. Her figurative sculptures
and portraits not only reflect her joy in creating, but also her deep
connection to the people she portrays in her art. Each piece is an
expression of personality and emotion – created through a harmonious
interplay of form, color, and expression. Her work invites the viewer to
experience the world from a more heartfelt perspective and to connect on
a deeper, emotional level.
